On behalf of our community and the Seymour Elementary staff, welcome to our school family! Seymour Elementary, home of the Cyclones, is a pre-kindergarten through sixth grade building with approximately 220 students. We pride ourselves on academic achievement, character education, technology, community engagement, family involvement and student safety.
Like all Ralston Schools we offer a challenging academic program with curriculum in all core areas aligned with the Nebraska State Standards. The faculty of Seymour, both highly qualified and extremely motivated, is truly committed to providing a positive climate of encouragement and support ensuring the academic success and personal well being of each child. Furthermore, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to engage our students, cultivate family participation, and promote academic success as the key to the opportunities of life.
We are all one big family and one big team! What does it take to be part of your child’s team? It takes “commitment” from all of us! We all want success for our children, and they deserve our best each and every day. Each member of your child’s team (Ralston staff, parents, community members, and the students themselves) will be doing whatever it takes to move towards success. It takes everyone doing their part and giving that extra effort each and every day. Congratulations on being part of a “committed team!”
Our school wide rules are: “Be safe. Be respectful. Be responsible.” By following these rules the students receive the most out of their educational experience that they can possibly get. We know it takes great effort and teamwork between our staff, our families, and our community to support our greatest priority….our students. In order to help our students develop into very successful young people, it will take communication, collaboration, and consistency from all who are involved in our students’ lives. Please know that Seymour will work side by side with you to ensure your child grows academically, socially, and emotionally, and as a responsible person who can become a difference-maker in this world. We all need each other in order to meet these goals.
